Improved Layer 2 Protocol, by Nino Carrillo KK4HEJ: an on-air format for AX.25 frames that replaces HDLC framing with a compact header, scrambling and Reed-Solomon forward error correction. Unlike FX.25 it isn’t backwards compatible, so both ends need to support it.
